MeeGo Community Metrics for June

We had another great month for the MeeGo community, and again this month, we had a significant increase in community activity! As of the end of June, we had 9626 members on MeeGo.com (up from 7993 in May), 4210 subscribers to the meego-dev mailing list (up from 3775 in May) and there were over 6093 posts across the mailing lists and forums (up from 3600 in May).

In June, we had several activities that generated discussions and other engagement in the community:

• Handset Day 1 – handset code became available on June 30, and generated quite a bit of news.
• Computex Taipei (June 1-5) generated more interest for MeeGo and the tablet demo was especially interesting.
• MeeGo 1.0 release for netbooks on May 26 resulted in many downloads and a huge number of questions about installation, usage, issues, bugs and more that have continued throughout June.
